I have a am3+ it is really slow i want to get a new one and i saw some other cpus i want but idk if they fit in my motherboard i would love the ryzen 5 1600x is that possible if not what should i do?

AM3+ motherboards don't accept AM4 CPUs. You need a new motherboard to run any Ryzen.

So i get a all new motherboard just for a new cpu? That sucks are there ther good cpus out there that fit in my mother board

Find out what the brand/model of the mobo is. Go to the site. Look under supported CPU's

Depending on what you install, you may have to update the BIOS first. So it supports it.

What exact motherboard do you have?
What cpu do you have now?

The problem is there are no AM3+ CPU's that come anywhere near the performance of a modern midrange CPU. Moving to a modern cpu will require new motherboard/cpu/RAM and depending on your Windows licence you may even need a new Windows licence.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTHERBOARD? An FX-8350 would be a good deal faster than an FX-4300 but it doesn't do you any good if your motherboard doesn't support it.

Changing to Ryzen means a new motherboard, DDR4 memory, and the CPU itself.

To stick with you current motherboard, we need to know the exact make and model to know what CPUs are compatible with it.
