Laptop's HDMI ports in 99% of cases are 'out' only. Ie. Image 'out' from the laptop to a secondary display.
They do not accept an 'in' signal from another device - it's just not how they're designed.

With an ASUS laptop, it's not going to be possible. Anything 'mainstream', is not going to allow display from another device. I can only recall one laptop that allowed signal 'in'.
