Hello all, I have a ATI AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series (5850) GPU. I was thinking about upgrading it because I want to be able to enjoy playing my current games at higher settings . But the graphic card I need has to be PCI-E 2.0. The store I went to said they don't sell them. Its 3.0 now, and my mother board won't support it. Anyways hoping to find one online, but I'm clueless. What graphic card do you guys recommend if any? As for price, well not sure how much they go for, I guess $100-$200. My PC is 10 yrs old. Here at the specs.

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
AMD Phenom II X4 B55
Deneb 45nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A79T Deluxe (AM3)
Graphics
HP 2009 (1600x900@60Hz) X32 (1600x900@60Hz)
ATI AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series (5850) (ASUStek Computer Inc)
Storage
1TB Western Digital WDC WD1002FAEX-00Z3A0 ATA Device (SATA )

thanks for the help.

Amazon have a 1650 super for the same price as a 1650 on that website.

The phenom is still going to hold that back a little, its essentially 4 x more powerful than your old hd 5850.

Therea nothing really better in that price range, it performs about the same as an amd rx 580.

I wouls stick with nvidia because older legacy bios boards can have issues with newer amd cards .

Same question as the above, what PSU are you using?

Also what are the GPUs your shop is offering within that range? As GPU prices varies based on country, so it's hard to suggest one directly without knowing price range or GPU your shop offers.

Hey guys, so still wondering what graphics card is good. Any recommendations would be great. No idea if my mother board will accept other brands as well besides AMD.

Either an AMD or an Nvidia card is compatible with your motherboard.

I'd recommend for you either a Nvidia GTX 1650 or the GTX 1650 super. The super is 30% faster for barely any more money, but you'll have to make sure that your power supply has a matching power connector (6 pin or 8 pin power).

Amazon have a 1650 super for the same price as a 1650 on that website.

The phenom is still going to hold that back a little, its essentially 4 x more powerful than your old hd 5850.
