Question I have a black screen with a white blinking cursor, no storage in.

I had a pc I built 4 years ago stop working suddently(parts are compatible since they have worked together). It was stuck in a power cycle and I tried almost everything to make it stay on. It turned out reapplying thermal paste did the trick. Now my issue is the pc just has a black screen with a white cursor even when there is no storage plugged into the sata cable. I cannot get the bios to pop up. I have a gigabyte motherboard so I spam delete when starting and nothing happens. I reset the cmos, unplugged the battery, plugged it back in and checked the voltage and nothing has done the trick. I tried different keyboards, tried different sticks of RAM and plugged in different storage devices. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you
