i have a borrowed firetv stick

dad hooked it up for us to see. he doesnt allow me to go behind his tv because he doesnt want it to fall off the stand. i seen a video of the "unboxing and hands on". and i dont see the sticks's screen that says its on and starting up. and i thought its probley not finding the wireless. but that cant be right. how does the stick normally turn on? oh and its plugged into its usb to wall outlet adapter because its THAT stick.

please help me!!!!!!!

Are you selecting the right HDMI port on the TV. Usually a Source or AV button on the remote

The Fire TV stick plugs into an HDMI port which is on the back of the TV and to view it you need to change the source of the input to the HDMI port you plugged the stick into.

we solved this now. we're not getting the stick since only 1 of us can only use it.
