I have a budget of £400 for a 4k monitor or £400 for a gpu, which should I choose??

I have a choice between a 4k monitor or a new gpu but I don't know which to get, currently I have a 2ms 1080p monitor and a MSI GTX 780.

What should I buy first?

Perhaps a 1440p monitor and a GTX 1060 would make more sense.
