I have a cyberpower pc and games run at 20 fps low settings what should I upgrade

I do not know if I should upgrade my amd Radeon 2gb dedicated graphics card or my amd 4300 fx processor which one would allow me to play games like ark survival evolved one around medium to high settings with around 30+ fps I only have $280 to spend and I found a pretty good amd 4gb graphic card would that be a good thing to upgrade? It has a 8gb ram the 2gb graphics card is a amd Radeon R7 240 graphics and I will have to check the power supply when I get to my house

Honestly, Cyberpower pc are trash. If you browse around here everyone will tell you that. You did not list which AMD card you had, you just said it has 2gb. 2gb is a little low but its not terrible. That CPU will defiantly bottleneck almost anything. If you have that budget, I recoment an FX-8320.

video memory is irrelevant to performance

you need to specify the card model

I can tell you this however, you need a cpu upgrade as well


we also need to know the make and model + wattage of the power supply


open your case and look inside if you dont know, the power supply should have a sticker with info on it

Your CPU and your video card are both lower end ones, you need to upgrade both to play ARK on Medium. That game makes high end systems struggle to get good frame rates.

For under $280 you can get an FX 6300 CPU and also a an nVidia 750 Ti card which should run fine on the stock power supply. If you happen to have a decent power supply in the 400 watt range, you can get a R7 360 or 370 for less than the 75o Ti and get about the same speeds for less money, and without a need to mess around with changing the video drivers.
