I have a dell dimensions 2350, how do i speed it up

my dell dimensions 2350 has intel celeron cpu 1.70 ghz 768 mb of ram and what i think is a stock 40gb hard drive how could i make it faster

Faster for what? You should be able to upgrade the cpu up to a P4 2.5 GHz, go up to 1GB or RAM, or upgrade to a 7200 RPM HDD. Adding a video card would also improve some things and free up RAM. The problem is that none of these upgrades would be able to be carried over to a new build, so you would be throwing money at a dead end.
