Question I have a dell optiplex 780 mt and wanting to put graphic card

I want to upgrade my dell optiplex 780 mt graphics card and i don't know the max power gpu draw that the pc can take,the power supply is a 300w stock

Have same computer myself and power to a GPU will be an issue for sure. I mean, not without replace the PSU also.

Anything that doesn't require supplemental power example a basic gtx 1050 would work fine.

how old is your power supply? I used a GT 1030 on a 250 watt stock psu for almost half a year, and it worked fine.

I don't know how old but it came with the pc and the pc is old, all i know the maximum power is 300 Watts (i have in mind a gt730 for the upgrade)

a GT 730 would work too, if it's better than what you have before.

but to have a better chance on playing ps4 level games without lag at 720p, you need to have at least a GT 1030 or it's AMD equivalent.

and lastly, Nvidia has already stopped driver support for the 730.

It's official, Nvidia will end GeForce GTX 600/700 series support in October

The final 'Game Ready' driver for Kepler GPUs will land on August 31, 2021.
