I have a desktop 3.0 seagate model srdosdo will not come on

i also have same type of issue. And boy has my gut tight... I have a desktop 3.0 model srdosdo I plug it in and sounds like it

yes kinda no light at all. Sounds like disk trying to read. But we know it does not have cd drive. I put on 2 other cpu nothing. Will not even show up. I guess I need 3 back ups... Will be happy to just get stuff off and pitch this one. But boy I need stuff off of it. What do you think?

Not working on any other PC either - - it's definitely history.

You need at least two copies of your data on two separate hard drives, though three is even better since it's not impossible for two hard drives to fail at the same time -- but all three failing at the same time is highly unlikely. I use four drives for backups.

If the data is woth spending money on to retrieve it, send it to a data recovery service (but see your bank manager about a loan first 'cos it doesn't come cheap!).
