Hello! I recently registered on here to ask some doubts in my mind. I never really do this but I had no choice haha.

3 years ago I bought a $500 prebuilt Dell PC and very recently I upgraded the old GPU which was GT 620 to a GTX 1070 Zotac 8GB and I have a i5-3340 @3.1Ghz

I wanna know if my pc is being bottlenecked because the cpu is a bit old? I mean I still feel i5-3340 is a great cpu compared to many(not high end ofc lol) but do I need an upgrade? Also what is a good motherboard I should buy?

The CPU likely will hold back a 1070 in some instances, but shouldn't be too bad.

Do you have the 1070 in the Dell? What PSU do you have powering it?

Honestly, I see no reason to invest in another motherboard if you already have one that's functional. Investing money into a dated platform (for no real gains) doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Yeah, I upgraded to a GTX 1070 from GT 620. I upgraded to a 550V PSU. I was wondering if I should upgrade my motherboard so I can get better ram and faster ram. I don't know much about motherboards so what I said might seem silly :p
