i have a laptop and the screen is broken and my mom got me a old monitor to use it but when i try to play arma the monitor say

when the error happens it also says optimum resolution 1280X 1024 60Hz

is likely an issue related to your arma configuration go to C:\Documents and Settings\usernam\My documents\ArmA Other Profiles\your player name\arma.cfg search for the resolution and change it to 800x600 or instead you can select your shortcut, go to properties, compatibility tab and check the execute in 640x480 option then run it and change the resolution ingame to 800x600
