I have a laptop that has a 1050 4gbs "ti" according to the package but its clearly a 1050. I bought a 144 hz monitor but i keep seeing that the Monitor itself is connected to my GPU that's provided by the CPU instead of my 1050 thereby i dont seem to be able to change anything? How do I fix this?

Also my nvidia only has 3d settings??? What is up with that...

It switches to the nVidia GPU automatically based on specific program needs. If the GPU isn't turning on while gaming or an application which uses CUDA. Try updating to the latest driver. You can also enable the specific game or program in 3D settings.

I believe that you only see 3D settings because the integrated graphics is the default graphics. It's what provides all the display settings. This is normal with laptops.

What cable are you using for the monitor? You likely need to use a Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cable for 144hz. Many 144hz monitors only support HDMI 1.4 on the HDMI port.
