So this laptop is getting quite old, and Asus used thermal putty to cool the VRAM and VRM, problem is in my country it's nearly impossible to find thermal putty on the shelf to buy, and ordering from another country is tedious and costly, so I intend to use thermal pads (Gelid GP Extreme to be precise).

I'm struggling to figure out the correct thickness for this, so if anyone had done this before and let me know, would be very appreciated !

Where is this country, that you speak of?

My advice, would be to replace with thermal paste, instead of going with thermal pads since an improper contact of the thermal assembly can end up causing your parts to cook themselves.

I live in Vietnam, none of the stores here sell thermal putty, ordering overseas can bump the cost to like 100usd for 100 gram of upsiren u6 pro.

Would thermal paste actually work ? Don't it only work in really thin layers ?
