I have a mouse and have connected it to my windows 8.1 laptop and it appears with an error message - " Windows does not reconise the USB device and the last USB device you plugged in malfunctioned.

Please Help.

did windows install the driver for it also check in control panel under peripheral to see if there is any question mark on usb or for the mouse hid .

If driver is not installed then please install it or maybe your mouse is dead.
