I have a Onkyo TX NR616. I'm guessing the Hdmi sound board is out cause I get no audio.. i also have a Jvc but its not hdmi i

Can I run an onkyo with no audio thru a jvc receiver

Why? What kind of unit is this JVC?

Make sure you've set up properly audio and video inputs, eg DVD is both assigned to HDMI.

Some Onkyo receivers that have HDMI problems can be repaired for free even when out of warranty. Check with Onkyo.
