[SOLVED] I have a PC and a Laptop. I want homegroup back. I save all my files on the PC and point my documents and my pictures on the laptop to the PC. How?

So I refreshed windows and lost my connectivity I had with my two machines. I have windows 10. I want homegroup back. Before I was able to point my laptop to my desktop's "my documents" and "my pictures" folders. Now its not easily letting me do that. I have done some research, cant figure it out. All I want to do is save all my data on my PC and access it with my laptop via my pictures or my documents. How is this done?

They can now see each other, but still sill not let me connect
