I have a problem with my new headset.

Hello. A couple of days ago I bought a keyboard and a headset from the page pccomponentes. The headset is a logitech G430. The pakage arived today and as soon as I started testing the heasdset i realised that theres was something wrong. The right speaker didn't work. The odd thing is if you connect the headset without the usb adapter (used to get the 7.1 sound) both speakers work correctly (but you get some echo when using the microphone). I've installed the software and updated the firmware and nothing changes.

Is there any way to solve this problem? It hs to be something that doesnt involve opening the headset because what im trying to avoid is sending it back for the warranty.

Hi, Have you tested the headphones with the back ports?

Yeah, they work properly plugged in the back ports (besides the echo in the micro) but that way i cant use the surroundd sound.

Try switching the front audio in BIOS from HD to AC'97.

Well, unfortunately, with ECS, no such setting in BIOS. Only HD. But, just to make sure, what's the case model?

The original one was a medion one; but i changed it for a zalman z11 plus (not shure if thats what you mean by case)

Yes. Well, it has a HD connector, so the issue seems to be elsewhere. Can you test different headset with the front port?

I can try but the problem is that my old headset's cable is damaged in the inside so only the right side works properly.

Had the front port worked OK with the old headset, before the cable got damaged?

i never used it but what exactly has the front port have to do with this. Becauste the jack port wortks fine the issue is when using it with usb.

I'm gonna try using it on a friend's computer and if it doesn't work, ill assume it's just an issue with the usb adapter ans ill send it to the warranty.
