I'd personally wait for Vega to come out. By then you'll have enough money for AMD RX 470, which performs much better than 1050. By then those cards will run for about ~$150 USD the way they were months ago, and second hand ones may run for $125 USD.

If you want to wait, of course. Otherwise, the 1050 is a solid option. The Ti offers too little benefit to be worth ~$30 USD.

Canada......

Gtx 1050ti is $190

gtx 1050 is 150

rx 460 is 145

ITs an overheating peace of crap 9600 gs that was on recall 5 years ago....

I broke the fan off anyways so it dont matter lol...The HDD died a while ago as well and haven't bothered with it until now ( I have a Pentium laptop.... also terrible)

Okcnaline makes a valid point about prices being high from crypto mining. But with video cards I would suggest not buying to future proof, because in 4 years when you want to upgrade the new midgrade cards will be better than the 4 year high priced video cards. Buy for your immediate needs, and worry about getting an upgrade when you need it.

$400 is coming from older rumors. 3 months ago i new i wasn't getting vega b/c it was said it would be around a gtx 1060...

Im thinking of getting the 1050 now.. Yes?

Vega from what we know is going to have 3 tiers of performance. Latest leak puts one of those cards at 15% more performance than the GTX 1080. With the resolution you are playing at you could benefit from a 1060/480/580, which would allow you to play at ultra/max settings. But the 1050 will do just fine if you don't mind turning down the setting 1 or 2 notches on some games.

Never had the money for 1060
