I have a question about partitioning and formatting.

Hey guys I was just wondering if I could have the files to install a new windows 7 on hard drive that I spiltted into a partition and boot it up using that hard drive or will that not work like I have drive A and cut drive A in half and loaded windows 7 files on it and then boot into the setup if that works and wipe drive A. or do I need a disc or usb?

get a disc or usb. can't install from the same hdd/ssd

right, the install files need to be on something separate for the install to work.

need it on disk or usb. just the way it works....
