i have a seagate free agent go flex 1.5 tb the light comes on i can hear the drive but its disappeared from my mac desktop tr

Is the drive visible in Finder or Disk Utilities?

I'm having the same problem, but through PC on two different systems - Windows 7 & 8.1. It whirrs like it's starting up, and the blue light comes on, but it doesn't read on my computer through 'My Computer', or disk management. I'm wanting to just reset it, how should I go about this?
