Question I have a security camera setup that the hard drive is causing a brownish area on the monitor.

the brown spot , the company says is caused by the heat of hard drive they told me I can hook up to a monitor via a HDMI cable, my problem is what adapters I can use on a computer monitor that doesnt have HDMI port. have seen monitors with only display hookups or a vga or dvi-d ports. any ideas that would work, I dont need sound . here`s hoping for an answer.

heat on hard drive doesn't do that. it probably the camera having issue.
anyway, you can get a dvi to hdmi adapter
