I have a TCL 55" Roku TV I can't find out if it has Freesync, or what. I'm looking at buying a Radeon RX 580, 8gb card.

My old graphics card is just about gone,

I just built a new computer two years ago with these specs [minus my current g card].

G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C11D-16GSR

GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i5-4690K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 88W BX80646I54690K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600

650watt power supply.

So, I'm looking at the Radeon RX580, 8gb card which supports "freesync".

I just bought this TV [in the link below] a TCL 55" 4K, which is working fine with my current setup, as my computer screen [gaming, and internet with some Netflix viewing].

So, my question is, does this TV have "freesync"?

If it doesn't can the Raydeon 580 card still work? Here is the card specifically I'm looking to buy.

I know its a little late to ask this question, BUT I didn't know my old card was going out until last Monday, AND since its "black Friday" tomorrow, I would like to buy the card then to maybe get just a bit of savings.

Thanks.

Well, I just read a somewhat recent thread where it was posted that no TV [not monitor] supports freesync yet.

So, my question now will be, WILL the GTX580, 8gb work with my 4k TV?

Update: I went ahead, and bought the card as it was discounted for black Friday, and the other card I was looking to buy was actually sold out.

I guess I will find out if it works.

Sorry, I couldn't wait for an answer, but like I said my old card, cards [I was running two, and one died this summer] was/is going out, and with BF deals [although not much of a discount, prices may actually go higher with the cyber coin mining] I just couldn't wait any longer.

However, if someone does have any insight feel free to post, as I'm sure with all of the 4k TV's going down in price this issue/question will come up again.

Sorry to keep updating this, but I found this.

Apparently, the TCL 4k TV does work quite well with PC gaming. [of course my Radeon card might still be an issue, as I haven't received it yet I can't yet say].

There was another page on the same site that listed other TV's, and how they did with video games, both console, and PC, but I couldn't find it [maybe you guys can find it on the link above].
