I have a terrible internet connection

I have been having big troubles with my internet being terribly slow. i went on five internet speed testers and got an average of 16.07 mbps download and 3.386 mbps upload. Thats pretty bad right? would getting a better modem or provider solve it? I use a Wi-Fi adapter to my computer

Im supposed to be getting 150 mbps download but I'm connected wirelessly and through walls.

Then your WiFi would seem to be the probable issue.

However...you really need to do a test with a system wired directly to the router.
If you get near the speed you are supposed to, then your personal WiFi situation is the problem, not the ISP.

I'm betting it is your WiFi.
