I have a toshiba laptop and a DVD is stuck inside but the tray still works. How do I get the DVD out?

Hang on a minute, if the tray still works what's your problem? Just open the tray and lift out the disc. I'm guessing there's something else you haven't told us yet or didn't explain very well?

I have the same problem the tray comes out but the dvd is stuck inside the machine.

Operate the disc tray in-out a few times. If that doesn't work you have to disassemble the laptop.
