As said Above, I have the Toshiba Satellite and it isn't detecting my internet connection. The Internet works fine for my other devices, such as my iPad which I am using to type this.

I tried pressing Fn then F8 but that doesn't do anything.
Restarting does nothing.
Taking the battery out then putting it back in does nothing.
Turning the internet off then back on does nothing

I really don't know what to do,

help.

((P.s. if you are thinking I should go to best buy geek squad or something, I can't drive. I'm too young for that. And, my parents do not want to do anything for the weekend.))

Which model of Satellite is it? Some may have a small wireless switch on the front or side instead of using Fn and F8 to turn it on or off. Does it show in Device Manager? Can you access the Net using a cable straight to the router? If so, connect that way and click on Update Driver in the wireless adapter's Properties page.

it's the C655D-S5300.
I believe not. ((What shows up?))
I cannot disconnect a cable, since I do not know which one it is. And I am currently at my cousins and I do not want to disrupt their internet by taking the cable out. ...
I shall try that later, when i go back home.

What does updating the driver do actually, I never wanted to tamper with things, incase I accidentally mess something up

Do you have a wireless icon in the notification area - right hand side, bottom of the screen? If so, when you right click it, then go to View available wireless networks, can you see the one your cousin's or your own router sends out?
