I have a windows disc but can I buy a key?

Can you buy just a key from windows? Is it cheaper or the same amount as just buying a new OEM disc and key?

The product key (license) is actually what you are buying, even if you buy with the actual installation media (DVD or USB drive). With a valid product key, you can download the installation files "free" from Microsoft.

When purchasing Windows product keys, get from a reliable source. We don't recommend using "grey market" vendors.

That's right - - it's the Product Key/Licence which actually costs money (though some money-grabbing third-parties do add a premium if the media is included).

Amazon is a trustworthy source of genuine activation keys for Windows 10 (and older versions too).
