I have an i5 4670k, is it time to upgrade?

I've had this CPU since release and used it extensively with a GTX 760 for the most part, and I recently upgraded to a GTX 1070. I have only overclocked it to 4.2 Ghz to try and make up for its kinda old age. Im thinking of getting a 2k monitor and wanted to know if I should upgrade my cpu now or wait until new releases.
I would prefer to stick with Intel but I am open to AMD suggestions.

The 4670k is still good. You should wait for the 6 core cannon lake this fall. The 1151 is near end of life. Even the new 7640k and 7740k will be on the 2066 z299 this summer.

You are still fine, I have not even found the need to upgrade my 3570K paired with GTX970 yet since it still handles everything I throw at it.
