"Should" is a relative description to your own wants and needs. Although, if gaming is your primary purpose for the PC then Sandy Bridge-E is getting pretty out-dated. One thing your 3930K does have is six-cores, which is somewhat of a standard for mainstream PCs now, plus it has hyper-threading which helps even more. I would overclock it (and increase cooling if necessary) to the max just to see what it could do before I spent a ton of money on a new CPU/Mobo/RAM.
