I have an issue with my connection.

A cuple of days ago, while I was playing an online game, my Ping started going upp from the usual 80-100 to 2000. After that I lost connection (which was odd because the Wi-Fi was working fine) and couldn't regain it untill about 20 minutes pased. After that my connection has been fluctuating a lot and it's really annoying (especially when playing any online game).
To connect my PC to the internet I use a D-Link product that sends the signal through the powerline. Today my father saw that from the 200Mbps the device supports my room was barely getting 20; and I think this my have something to do with the issue.

I'd appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks in advanced.

Hi

Maybe some new device is connected to the mains in your house and generating interference which slows down the data rate
possibly something with an electric motor like a fridge or freezer

In some cases a usb wireless dongle can be faster than mains powerline products
