Pretty much any smart TV would have an optical audio out, just connect that to the soundbar. If by "pair" you are talking about bluetooth, does your TV have bluetooth audio out ability?

It does but is is saying i have to pair it through the speaker 1st.. i have tried aux in/out/ optiical and line in/out

Not sure what you mean by pair through the speaker, the onn soundbar IS the speaker, just connect the optical cable to the soundbar, you may need to go into the TV setup and change the audio option to use the external speakers if it still just uses the TV ones.
