Solution
Personally, I wouldn't make any changes to that system. The meager performance improvements would not be worth the cost IMO.

I echo Wolf.

Maybe go to the next gen so you are ready to upgrade when the next gen of GPU's release, and prices for GPU's come back to normal. And a better PSU.

This should keep your Build going for quite some time. Use the same RAM you have right now to save costs.

What kind of insane advice is that? I'm an AMD user myself, but DO NOT listen to the guy above. Period.

1060 and RX 580 are same performance basically. I think all I would do is maybe grab an i7 7700k to max out the current setup, sell your i5, then save your money for next generation. You can always resell the 7700k, board etc later to help make up some of the costs.

I should not have said it that way.

However, a move to Ryzen, as much as I like Ryzen, I've got a 1600 myself, a move to Ryzen would be a sideways upgrade when the op can get a 7700k. Also, the GTX 1060 6gb should trade blows with an RX 580 8gb. With current prices on graphics cards due to the miners, if the op has the 1060 6gb now, I can't recommend moving off that card really at all until next generation unless they have money to burn.
