[SOLVED] i have blocked first pci-e slot by cpu cooler but?

specification of mobo asus tuf gaming x570 plus say i have two pci-e slots work on x16 4.0. i must use second slot and he work on x4 3.0???can that second slot work on x16 3.0?

no, the specification says:
1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 (max at x4 mode) , it only states that it is a physical x16 slot but electrically working @ x4 mode.

What´s you graphics card?

Gtx 1660 super in display properties show psi e x8 3.0 and gpu z show x4 3.0
I am only wory about lossing performances

This card is supporting up to PCIe 3.0 x16
Run something like furmark and have a look at gpu-z again.

Still the performance difference shouldn't be noticeable just measurable.

u put card in first slot and work fine now

yup but blocikng fan on motherboard and its so close to cpu cooler

Can you share a picture of your cooler install. It seems very odd for a cpu cooler to block a pcie slot but they can block memory slots. Wondering if it’s mounted in the wrong orientation.

no i mount on right way. but have maybe one inch space between cpu cooler and gpu, and gpu go over fan on motherboard that is reason why i install firstly on second slot...
