Question I have bought 3 different cables in an attempt to get my GN246HL to run 144hz but nothing works.

I have bought a DisplayPort cable that has no port in the monitor itself and then returned it, an HDMI 2.0 cable that wouldn't give me the 144hz option, then a DP-HDMI adapter that still doesn't work, I am now looking for a DVI-D cable that will hopefully, but not likely, work. Am I doing something wrong here or is Acer actually just this awful with their products?

Would this be able to run 144hz? Also do you have any cables that you would know for certain would run 144hz?

You should have mentioned you were using an adapter; you cannot use a normal DP to DVI adapter for 144 Hz. Please read the pinned thread, section 0: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/how-to-connect-to-a-120-hz-display.3268285/

I wasn't expecting to have to use an adapter in all honesty. I apologize for wasting your time.
