I have completely lost my wifi connection on my laptop. How do i find it?

My wifi icon in the bottom right corner has gone, i cant find it. Now it tells me to connect to internet using an ethernet cable. How do i get wifi back. Please help me

Hi,

Open up a command prompt window (right click cmd.exe and press 'run as administrator', then type the following command.

Press start and type 'cmd.exe' (without quotes) then do as said above.

sfc /scannow

Leave it on and it will show a percentage until complete please be patient, it can take up to an hour so please be patient and don't do anything else on the PC.

Once done it should say that it has fixed any problems, found errors and cannot fix or that it did not find any errors.

Post back what it tells you at the end and I can give you some more options to fix the issue!
