i have extra external antennas

they are from my old wireless router. i was wondering if there was any way to hook them up to my wireless adapter that is on my pc, so i could boost the signal strength

well there is nothing to plug the antenna into... what im wondering is could i use some wire and unscrew my old antenna and put 3 peices of wire attached to the metal end... would i get 3x as good reception?

Try researching antenna theory to see just why that won't work the way you think it will.
