Hello. I just completed my build and have some fans on the way.
Processor: I5-4670K
Case: Corsair 300R (comes with 140mm front intake and 120mm rear exhaust)
Motherboard: fan connectors: (1) four-pin connector for cpu cooler and (4) four-pin connectors for auxiliary/chassis
Aftermarket Fans: (2) Noctua NF-F12 120MM PWM for cpu cooler in push/pull on Hyper 212 Evo
(1) Noctua NF-P12 120MM for chassis
(1) Noctua NF-F14 FLX 140MM for chassis
I'm going to be using the P12 for rear exhaust and F14 for top exhaust. The top rear exhaust will be connected with a peripheral (4-pin) connector that came with my Corsair CX600M power supply. All other fans will be connected directly to the motherboard.
Then I will be moving the stock rear exhaust to the front as an intake which will be used in conjunction with my other stock intake. My only question is what settings should I keep the rpm/voltage for each noctua chassis fan? Neither are PWM except the cpu/cooler fans. I have an Asus Z87- Mobo that has Asus Suite III that comes with Fan Xpert 2 for tweakage. How is the "fan-tuning" option in Fan Xpert 2? I'm going to be overclocking to about 4.2-4.4ghz in a week or so, and just wanted some advice.
Thanks.
