Question I have good pc specs, but I can barely run my games on medium to low settings ?

My pc has a geforce gtx 1660, a ryzen 7 2700, 1tb hard drive, and 8gb of ram. My pc can barely run games on medium to low settings and half the time my fps drops up and down ?

what the cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
only have hdd? depend on the game, upgrade to a ssd
8 gb ram, 1 stick or 2? what the speed?
make and model of the motherboard and psu?

Playing at high ultra will make your games much smoother, games are coded very poorly and targeted at consoles they run badly on windows.

Not to sound rude but the 1660 is a low-end card. Even cards twice or three times as expensive can struggle to run at max quality settings in many games.

But the question itself is missing lots of context. Which games are you playing ? And at what resolution ? What are the temps and loads like ?
