[SOLVED] I have hyper212 fan and 2 fans for my pc case, i want to add more since my CPU gets to 90c sometimes

Solution
my ambient temps is higher than 30c atm, so it makes sense i guess.

about moving the corsair fan to top rear it sounds good (not sure about the place but you mean above my hyper212 right?), and shouldnt i get better fans for the front intakes? I heared that corsair fans are usually better.

(and im not certain I have an avaialble fan header unless the hyper212 is connected to a single fan header)

If the 212 is this one

It comes with 2 fans and a splitter so only uses a single cpu fan header.

Which means you should have a spare chassis fan header now.

Corsair better fans??

No that's generalising, they make good fans...
Adding a fan in all fan mounting locations often times does degrade the performance of the airflow(and the case). You might want to clean that heatsink and the fans on that cooler. If you already have the fans in hand, you can have the front set to have 3x120mm fans as intake and the top and rear can cater to the exhaust.

Just for the sake of relevance, can you list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

I dont have the fans in hand I want to order new fans, thats why i want to ask for advices on how many to order (and there is the issue of my motherboard has only 4 fan headers, how can i fix it?)
I noticed hot air comes out from the rear, and the rear of the pc is facing a wall, is it a problem?>

CPU: amd ryzen 5 5600x am4 tray
Motherboard: x570 aorus elite
Ram: corsair ddr 4 32g (16gb 2x)
SSD/HDD: samsung ssd 980 1tb
GPU: nvidia geforce rtx 3080
PSU: 850w fully modular gold corsair psu
Chassis: corsair 4000d airflow tg case
OS: windows 10 64bit

Shouldn't be hitting 90c with those specs in that case and cooler imo.

What are your ambient temps??

If your room temp is below 30c then that stinks of a bad cooler mounting or paste application more than anything else.

Case fan wise move the front 120mm corsair to a top rear exhaust and buy a pair of 140mm fans for front intakes.

A pair of f14 pwm pst's would be a decent choice because they include an in line splitter cable to link to a single fan header.

No that's generalising, they make good fans, they also make cheap subpar ones.

I recommended the Arctic cooling f14 pwm pst because.

1.They're quiet
2.They offer good airflow.
3.They have fairly low power draw for 140mm fans.
3. They have in line splitters so can be daisy chained to run upto 4 off 1 header.

And regarding moving the current front fan, yes move it to the top rearmost fan slot as an exhaust.

That way you have 2 x 140mm I takes and 2 x 120mm exhausts.

Case airflow isn't going to get much better than that.

You're then solely at the mercy of ambient temps and the heat that rtx 3080 throws out and rhe fact that the 212 even with 2 fans is a mediocre aftermarket cooler at best.

about placing it on top rearmost fan slot as an exhaust, it will be right above my hyper212, im pretty sure there wont be place for air to go through (i might be wrong tho , but if it happens should i remount my hyper 212?)

Anyways, I will try it out and come back to update how much it helped, thanks alot
2 last questions if you dont mind:
  1. from what you sent, I need to buy 2 of these right? it doesnt come as a pair but each one of them will come with a line splitter cable
  2. Do you have any more quick recommendations for similar fans or what should I look for? ordering from amazon will take 14 days to arrive, so I prefer looking for something similar that i can get right away (only found 120mm arctic cooling here)

I think your CPU should run cooler with your current configuration. Before spending money on fans which I don't think will change much, I would clean the dust out of the cooler and replace your thermal paste. Make sure the cooler is mounted well.

The PC is kinda new, I have that problem since I got it, and cooler is mounted well I guess, look at what i posted , the CPU is at the other side of the cooler (at the side of the fans)

I'd normally agree but with 30c ambient temps and a rtx 3080 in there I honestly don't think that a single 120mm intake fan is anywhere near enough.

You're never getting sublime temps at those ambient but a pair of 140mm intakes will work wonders imo.

Your issue seems to be fan headers, which is why I recommended the f14s for easiness sake.

Where are you located, what online shops can you use?

There are a myriad of decent 140mm fans about, you're going to need a fan splitter though by the look of it also (2x140mm fans will be fine off a single header)

I still have my suspicions regarding your coolers fitting as night rmx has also mentioned, did you fit it yourself??

I didnt, I dont know how thermal paste works , and if my cooler is mounted correctly. I had someone experienced build it for me, will check it out anyways, but if a dual 140mm fan will always help in general with cooling I would prefer it either way

I could get ll140 rgb 140mm dual light loop rgb led pwm fans today
It does cost most though
I can use any online shop, I just dont want to wait a week or two for the fans to arrive
