I have identical errors on 2 MOBO's one is a Rampage V and the other a Sabertooth X99. Both are giving a boot device failure L

Trying to get past boot up with M.2 boot drives
I have identical errors on 2 MOBO's one is a Rampage V and the other a Sabertooth X99. Both are giving a boot device failure LED stays on and cannot get into the bios. Both boards have M.2 boot disk in the M.2 slot. Has anyone had problems with these slots and drives booting. It worked fine when I assembled and burned in the boards and drives.

I have 2 mobo's with the same problem and both worked fine when I was building them on the test bench? I am going to try removing and reinstalling the SSDs to see if that changes anything.
