I have installed i5 processor but the affinity display the 2 processor only

I have i5 processor 4 gb ram,500 gb hardisk ,toshiba company Laptop.


i3 processor it display 4 core in task manager. In my Laptop the task manager display only two processor.

why this variation.

This is the same as the CPU Thread. In that thread I responded:
It depends on exactly what intel processor you have. Some intel processors have hyper threading. Because the task manager count the threads & not the true cores, dual core i3 or i5 with hyper threading will appear to have 4 cores in task manager although they only have 2 real cores. Without hyper threading, task manager will only display 2 cores.
