That CPU will bottleneck any of the higher end GPUs, I would get a GTX 1060 or RX 480 at the most and those game swill likely run play-ably, albeit with somewhat of a bottleneck.

A core i3 6100 and a Rx 480 would be a great upgrade. Might need a new motherboard though.

Pretty much any graphics card you put in there will be bottlenecked by the 1st gen i3. Even a 750ti.

The above recommendation of a 6100, RX 480 (or 1060), and H170 motherboard would be a great build.

I would prefer a 1060 but it is a little more expensive for around the same performance.

In order to get a better graphics card I would recommend picking up an i7 880 off ebay, they are going for about $120 or a i7 870 for just under $100.

I'd pair ether one of those cpus up with a 1060 and call it a day. so your out $300 for a good upgrade , maybe throw in a good 1600Mhz 8gb ram kit and your looking at $350

give it more ram upgrade ram to 8gig even get a xeon processor they are athe o bit cheaper fit in your chipset you will need a videocard to boot as no integrated graphics pick the processor right can get 1 as close to the i7 as built identical in core layout but handle most demanding tests as i still got a 1156 socket with the 540 & a 650ti handling more intensive games like killing floor 2 & many other games no issues ram helps alot in the system & ddr3 8gig kits are so cheap
