I have intel i3 processer and dh61ww motherboard with 6gb ram ,can it run gtx 970 4GB card and new generation games smoothly.

I think your i3 will bottleneck upgrade it or buy a gtx 960 or r9 380 instead to reduce bottleneck.
(Recommendation: Upgrade i3 to i5)
