i have lost a word file

ok so i done a dumb thing , i added some more pages to a story i am writing in word instead of closing and saving changes i clicked the top left button and did save as....and as i clicked save i did not notice THIS PC tab was highlighted so its got saved somewhere in THIS PC instead of the folder i have it stored and i cant find it. I have looked in c drive program files and c dive program files (x86) but i cant find it....

there a few things you can do. one is use windows file search and do a *, (default word file) uses. it bring up all word doc on your pc. when you open the file explorer the last files used will be there. the word would be the top file. in word there is a way to pull the last file back.
Here we take Word 2013 as an example. And this method works in all versions including 2007/2011/2013/2015/2016 etc.

1. Start Word 2013.

2. Click the File menu, click Open, click Computer, and then click Browse.

3. Locate the folder in which you last saved the missing file.

4. In the Files of type list (All Word documents), click All Files. The backup file usually has the name "Backup of" followed by the name of the missing file.
