With shipping that GX 450W PSU is about $72. It's not terrible, but it's also not one of the better models.

Do you plan to upgrade that graphics card? With that nice Phenom II X4 965 CPU you might be heading in that direction: CORSAIR Builder CX500 V2 500W 80+ PSU $62 plus $8.20 shipping and $10 rebate.

well. i really don't game at all really, i just wanted a really fast desktop......but i will ask my builder to put a ATI Radeon HD 6850 in instead anyway, he has it used and will prolly give it to me real cheap.....in which case i think i would put http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028 in so power is good to go, thanks amuffin for the link, and thanks averyone else too, is everything good now?

You can run the HD 6850 and rest of your parts on the Corsair CX430.
Especially since you're not gaming.

But if you get a lower over-all price with the HD 5570 grab it. It would make a great general purpose/home office/home entertainment graphics card.

Both are 80 Plus Bronze and modular. Both of them would be sufficient for this build and also if you plan to upgrade your system in future. They would easily cover you for a very long time. PSU is one such component that doesn't need an upgrade if you select the right one, so I suggest you to get a good one, at least a 500W 80 Plus Bronze, even if your system is a mid-range build. This wattage is considering that you hit 50-70% of the rated load at which the PSU delivers maximum efficiency.

is 600 watts close, or is it far more than enough? Because i want it to be far more than enough if i wanted to play the most intense games possible that my graphics card could handle(I will not)....but would the watts be enough if that happend(it won't).....so.....please tell me. thanks. and the most intense game i will play is "Age of Empires Online" made in 2010 and also Age of Empires 3, either graphics card would be able to run everything high quality right, no lag??

The CX 430 would be OK - it meets the minimum requirements.
But if you're OK with the price that CX600 amuffin linked is a very good value.

I think the X4 965 and HD 6850 is a good combination for most types of gaming.
And for sure, you'll have a pretty fast system for doing everything else.

fans, i am pretty sure cpu comes with fans...and other part come with fans too possibly, i know there will be enough though....and i will ask my builder if the card fits...kk

u know what i was just saying it has enough fans because i just recently decided that this is still too much money for me to spend....so i was just trying to get this forum over with.........because i dont game...so i am scraping this idea, but thanks so much for your guyses help....ps..this is what i am going to do now.....

A8-3870K could be a player.
But Age of Empires Online needs a strong CPU. Im just not sure how it would run on the Llano APUs.

I think you'd want to wander by some of the Age of Empires Online user forums and see if anyone is already using that APU for the game, and how well it's running the game.
