I have old internet connector, cannot plug it in wireless router i've just bought

My internet cable is screwed directly in my network card, i dont know what connector is that, but i cannot connect it to the router. I've heard that i can connect it on pc lan port and set it so router can connect to the wan cable, but i dont know how to do it, i couldn't find anything on the internet, dont even know what to search for. Help anybody? Thanks.
