[SOLVED] I have Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50GHz with 2gb ram

my pc has 4 slot with Intel g31/33 family cheapset and my pc has 4 ram slot which are in DDR2 supported .Could I Use upto 12 ram on the pc?

From what I was able to find, you have a max limit of 4GB, but if you have a 2GB module installed, then it's likely you actually have a max 8GB,

it does not really matter how much ram you can install on ddr2, since ram controller is built in motherboard, not cpu. If manufacture says it supports max 4gb, but you have 4 slots, most likely you can install 8gb there
