My laptop uses 128 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD, can I replace it with Samsung 860 EVO V-NAND SATA M.2 SSD? Will it work? If up mentioned is working, someone told me that it will be slower and can i know why?
thank u in advance

Hello there!
It'll be slower as you will be using 'sata' connection whereas the one you are currently using has 'nvme' drive which are faster than sata so you might wanna go with nvme drives.

Maybe not.
Is that M.2 port compatible with SATA?
Unless proven otherwise, NVMe only.

And if it IS SATA capable, a SATA III drive will be technically slower. You may not notice, though.
