Question I have question on gtx 980 right fan not spinning

I have gtx 980 rog strix model DC2OC, Right fan does not spin unless I override fan control to 100% (in msi afterburner) then it kicks on. Does not work under load or anything else.

i had that card, it died about 2 years ago... needs new thermal paste but I got a 2070 Super same week.

Its odd, I can find results for a 3 fan card but the card only has 2 fans, right? I remember the owl eyes.

I know fans only run at 60c or something, I don't know how often mine span as case didn't have glass sides.

have you tried unplugging fan connector and reconnecting it?

Asus gtx 980 strix-one fan spinning at idle issue.

Hi,I bought a asus gtx 980 strix 2 months back.Recently ,I have an issue,that both fans operate differently.One fan stays shut at idle ,while other one keeps on rotating.Why is that? Do I need to Return it or is it no big deal?
