A2| Depending on where you're looking it's not going to cost you about $200US much more like $100 as well. I would also wait out a while since a GTX1070 will be a better investment than getting a GTX900 series card. You should drop the H50 from your list since it's a very old cooler - I bought it back in 2009 and modded it to another level. Right now you can get better cooling options on air outside of the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo. You will also need to decide on your case since it's going to house your components. If you say you don't have a budget then I can go ahead and recommend a Caselabs Full tower chassis for more than $400US but that would be futile if it wasn't in your budget. So it's in...

So it's in our best interests to learn of your budget and direction of this build since it looks more like a gaming build than a workstation grade build..

The only issue with your idea of future proofing is that there will always be something that will be coming out in the near future and only you can understand when to purchase it or how long you should hold off your purchase.

I7 is better than i5. I7 has hyper threading and bigger cache size. If you will only play games, it does not matter, get an i5 in this case.
Wait for 1070 and 1080 to launch. You can get the 1070 for less than 980 costs now and it will be way better than these.

Get cooler master 212 or cryorig H7 and as an extra fan for push pull. Will be similar if not better in performance than entry water coolers like g50.
Get a 2666bus or 3000bus ram and save some cash.
